“We believe that this is best way for New Brunswickers to do their part in minimizing the impact of drug shortages: adhering to a voluntary 30-day prescription refill limit, until the supply of drugs stabilizes and
returns to normal.”
“Just like wearing a mask in public is one way to protect others from the spread of COVID-19, asking for a 30-day supply is also a way you can help the next person in line who needs the same treatment.”
Sam Lanctin Registrar, New Brunswick College of Pharmacists
Drug shortages are real
Choosing voluntary 30-day refills will even out the demand and help to ensure that as many prescription medications as possible are available to every New Brunswicker who needs them, including your family, friends and neighbours.

Your professional pharmacy personnel is trying to help you during these very difficult circumstances.
The principal object and duty of the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists is to promote and protect the health and wellbeing of the public, in collaboration with other health disciplines.
